NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY DAY VISION
The New Mexico Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals envisions diverse communities collaborating with enlightened philanthropists to recognize their impact on nonprofits and their clients.

NATIONAL PHILANTHROPY DAY MISSION
The National Philanthropy Day Awards Banquet seeks to plan, implement and sustain an inclusive, collaborative event which honors individuals, businesses and groups who, through their hard work and dedication, have enhanced philanthropy, the world, and their communities.

AWARDS BANQUET – NOVEMBER 15th
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) will present awards at the National Philanthropy Day Awards Banquet on Monday, November 15, 11:30-1:30 (registration 11-11:30), at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Individual open seating tickets are $45 each, with reserved tables at $500 and sponsor tables available for $1000. Click here for your registration form. 2010 NPD INNOVATIONS
This year, the AFP NM Chapter will be placing a special focus on the impact NPD has on building a stronger community by adding new innovations.

  • New Mexico Business Weekly: AFP NM is extremely pleased to announce that the NMBW will be presenting the 2010 NPD Award Recipients in the November 15th issue of the “Giving Guide”, with photos and features about each recipient. The issue will premier at the NPD Awards Banquet on November 15th. (www.bizjournals.com)

  • Albuquerque Academy “Community Builders”: A volunteer summer program which teaches high school juniors the building blocks of community philanthropy, “Community Builders” is incorporating the perspectives and talents of the students into some exciting new features of the awards presentation!   • Young Nonprofit Professionals Network: This dynamic group is bringing their inaugural awards to the NPD Awards Banquet. (www.ynpn.org/centralnewmexico)

    • Young Nonprofit Professional of the Year - Recognizing a young leader who demonstrates professionalism and has deep impact in the community and/or their organization through their nonprofit work.

    • Young Board Member of the Year - Recognizing a young board member who demonstrates professionalism and provides valuable service in governance to a local nonprofit organization.

    • Young Leaders Advocate of the Year - Recognizing a young leader who advocates for the development of young leadership through programming and community connections

    • Youth in Philanthropy awards: in addition to the awards for Elementary, Middle and High School, a new “Youth Collaborative” award will recognize the contributions of groups.

The “Spirit of Philanthropy” Award is an opportunity to celebrate someone you feel has given back to their community, so select your very own “spirited” philanthropist! ANNOUNCES 2010 PHILANTHROPY AWARD RECIPIENTS

The New Mexico Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has announced the recipients of the 2010 National Philanthropy Day awards. From Carlsbad to Laguna, the diverse award recipients represent the leaders in philanthropy in their communities. The 2010 awards include a new designation for a Southern New Mexico Leader in Philanthropy, a Youth Collaboration award, and 3 new Young Nonprofit Professionals Network awards (nominations due July 30th www.ynpn.org/centralnewmexico)
